Episode 683 – January 29, 2023
On episode 683 of The Tim Corrimal Show, I am joined at the round table with Joe (Joseph Santorsa on Facebook and @Marnus3 on Mastodon) from The Poorly Written Political Blog, Tee Brown (@TeresaBlack7771 on Twitter and @firstname.lastname@example.org on Mastodon) who is the host of “Tea Time with Tee” on Facebook and TikTok, Seth (@SethP23 on Twitter and @SethP23@stranger.social on Mastodon) from the VEGANesp Blog, and Justice Putnam (@justiceputnam on Twitter) from NetrootsRadio.com and http://www.dailykos.com/user/justiceputnam.
On the show this week we start out with introductions and the Social Media Friends segment, then we discuss clips of Rep. Michael McCaul struggling to defend Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene’s Homeland Security Committee appointment, Trump eulogizing Diamond in the most disrespectful and rude way, and the Morning Joe crew calling the eulogy beyond bizarre and beyond rude. Next we discuss clips of White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s response when asked if Rep. George Santos was invited to the White House reception for new Congress members, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse calling out the Supreme Court’s report on the leaked Dobbs opinion, CNN’s morning crew discussing the preparations for violence if Trump is charged in the Georgia election case, then Joe gives us another hilarious Clown Car Update with a parody version of the Zip Recruiter website for Attorney Generals. Then we discuss clips of Jon Stewart saying the media is broken over their coverage of Biden’s classified documents, FOX News interrupting a segment about Biden’s documents to report the news on classified documents being found at the home of former Vice President Mike Pence, and Mehdi Hasan mocking Sen. Ted Cruz for contorting himself to downplay Pence possessing classified documents. And we close out the show discussing a clip of Rep. Eric Swalwell saying Speaker McCarthy’s intent is to provoke death threats against the Democrats being kicked off of Committees, House Republicans idea to replace income taxes with a 30% national sales tax, John Durham’s investigation into the investigation of the investigation turning out to be a criminal probe of Trump, as well as a clip of Stephen Colbert mocking Tucker Carlson’s hyperventilating freakout over M&Ms.
